Cosmos & Roses

We have been staying in quite a lot since we got back from our all too short visit to the U.S. in September.   If you listen closely as you pass our house, you would be able to guess the reason, because you would more than likely hear someone coughing or sneezing.  Kei & I both have bronchitis brought on by asthma.  (Kei has officially be diagnosed with asthma :/ )  Rebekah likely is at the end of a bout with bronchitis & Jerry is sneezing due to fall allergies.  Joshy on the other hand is healthy, so you will hear his squeals and giggles of delight  as the rest of us cough, wheeze, & sneeze!

Today, being that it is a national holiday & we were feeling rather cabin feverish, we ventured forth for a short excursion to one of our favorite parks, Echigo Hillside Park, to enjoy the fall Rose & Cosmos festival.

The roses were lovely.

The Cosmos were beautiful and unique as well.

The view was amazing, with just a hint of the fall colors to come.

None of us felt like hiking...sigh... but it was still good to get out of the house and enjoy the beauty of God's world.

Beautiful! Our flowers are done, except for the Mums. And fall colours are in full swing. It is still lovely, but I'm not sure I'm ready for winter yet.

Hope you all feel better soon.

Our seasons are slightly delayed, but it won't be long until the flowers are gone here, too.
